The Czechs were well beaten in Prague by a better organised Spanish side in front of 1000 spectators. While the Czech forwards kept their latin counterparts busy all game with solid set pieces and driving, the backs were outplayed by the opponents' pace and skill.
The loss puts the Czech side into a very difficult position because the Spanish team was considered to be their competitor for relegation. Now, after a home loss to Spain, and with Spain having won two games already, the relegation after six years in this competition next year, seems inevitable.
